EMPOWERING FARMERS AND CREATING MARKET PRESENCE
In 2017, we witnessed the struggles of coffee farmers in the northern and southern regions of Papua New Guinea. Facing challenges like inadequate resources, low prices, and limited infrastructure, the Central Papuan Arabica coffee industry was in decline. To help, we initiated a passion project to revitalize the industry, create market presence, and improve the lives of smallholder farmers. Our goal is to provide support, strengthen supply chains, and address the environmental and socio-economic issues in the region.

STAGE 1:

We source the best natural raw materials,
organic ingredients that are grown in rich
fertile soils. Our shade grown coffee provides
ecological support through sustainable
farming methods. Coffee is naturally grown
free of pesticides/ herbicides and chemical
fertilisers.
STAGE 2:
SELECTION PROCESS
SELECTION PROCESS
IGP ensure each single origin farm are profiled
and farmers registered and then trained by our
CIC (Coffee Industry Corp.) Extension Officer in
their area. CIC ensures our farmers follow
industry standard and IGP standard by hand
picking only the best individual red cherries,
which are then washed, fermented and later
carefully laid out to dry on solar drying beds. IGP
facilities process and provides resources to
ensure quality and not quantity is the constant.

Only the top Arabica parchment are
selected hulled and polished with each
green bean being carefully scrutinised by
hand before it is roasted to perfection. To
ensure proficiency in energy consumption,
quality and consistency IGP coffee are
roasted in batches 25lbs at a time.

IGP acts on purpose, and is a strong advocate for
Environmental sustainability. IGP have a strict green
packaging criteria for its biodegradable, compostable
and recyclable eco packaging. All to ensure every new
product and packaging launched is sourced from
suppliers or manufacturers with low impact to the
environment and who display green innovative
packaging solutions
